Writing is the most fun anyone can have by themselves.
For those who are dying to know who the person behind the computer is, here is a short introduction:
I’m 24 years old. I live in Sweden. And I’m a girl.
About two years ago I finished my training to becoming a high school teacher, my subjects being German and Psychology. After working as a substitute teacher for a year I decided to go back to the university and study English in the hope of adding it the my list of subjects i can teach. I find this relevant enough to mention it here because this is one of the reasons I write this blog: I find this to be an excellent opportunity for me to exercise my written English and how to express myself coherently. The main reason for writing this blog though is my love for World of Warcraft.
I only started blogging in the spring of 2008, though I used to make homepages back when i was little. Seeing as I didn’t know much about code and most of my energy went into the content of the pages, I’d say that in a way, I’ve been bloging for the past 11 years.
I write mostly for myself, but also for a select few friends who play WoW but whom I don’t have the opportunity to play with at the moment. If anyone else would turn out to follows and enjoy what I write, that would be a wonderful bonus.
My very first computer game was Diablo II. My boyfriend introduced me to it when i was 17 (yes, I’m a late bloomer!) and I fell in love with it instantaneously. Since then I’ve played a variety of games, none of which on-line though, amongst others: Sid Meyer’s Civilisation III, Baldurg’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Heroes of Might and Magic III. In the beginning of 2006 I bought World of Warcraft at the recommendation of many friends, who were already playing the game and I’ve been hooked ever since.
World of Warcraft:
My very first character was a female night elf rogue. She made it up to level 23. After that came a series of insignificant characters and then in April 2006 my boyfriend and I started two characters together: the famous healer and tank combo. We played those characters for a very long time, up until the spring of 2008 after which we decided to start anew on a different server. The server we ended up choosing was Bloodscalp (EU) and it has been our home ever since.
After having rerolled we mostly played with real life friends with whom we formed our own little guild. However it turned out none of us could stay away from our true in-game love: raiding. At the moment I am a member of the healing team of the top Horde raiding guild on the server.
